Proto-Emperor Premium Black Special

This is another more recent Da-Xing clone of a Tamiya model which I think is still available in exactly this colour scheme.  It is also listed as a 'Premium Black Special' as I believe the Tamiya equivalent is as well.  That's not to say that the Tamiya original is readily available, but I have seen it on at least one retailers site.

  • Body: ABS plastic
  • Chassis: Super II
  • Motor: Stock 130 with a single shaft which transmits power using a prop shaft to gears on both axles.

Built purely as a box model with no modifications and only using the supplied sticker set.

Ray Stinger

This is another good Da-Xing clone of an older Tamiya model, although again I think this one may still be available in the Tamiya range as I've seen them around somewhere.  It is a good version though and produces a reasonably good model.

  • Body: ABS plastic
  • Chassis: Super II
  • Motor: Stock 130 with a single shaft which transmits power using a prop shaft to gears on both axles.

I did originally build it as a plain box model, but then having mislaid the stickers I resorted to painting it.  Not my best work as I painted it by hand/brush, but its not too bad.  I since found the stickers <typical> but have so far decided not to fit them as it looks ok as it is.

Razorback

Another Da-Xing clone of a Tamiya model that is still available from some retailers, it also uses the same FM-A chassis.  This is actually a quite nice model, if a bit unconventional and I'm torn between just keeping this one or maybe getting a Tamiya version while they are still about.  I may well do this as then I could compare them side by side to see if there are any differences.

  • Body: ABS plastic
  • Chassis: FM-A
  • Motor: Stock 130 with a single shaft which transmits power using a prop shaft to gears on both axles.

Built purely as a box model with no modifications and only using the supplied sticker set.

Rising Trigger

This is a classic example of a Da-Xing clone of an older Tamiya model.  This is reflected in every respect and you sometimes see original old Tamiya's in exactly this livery with this artwork advertised on eBay.  But as I said in the header, if you don't have it, want it and can't afford a Tamiya OOP this is an option.

  • Body: ABS plastic
  • Chassis: Super XX
  • Motor: Stock 130 with a single shaft which transmits power using a prop shaft to gears on both axles.

Built purely as a box model with no modifications and only using the supplied sticker set.

Rising Trigger White Special

This Da-Xing clone is almost identical to the normal 'Rising Trigger' listed above, except this is the 'White Special' version.  Apart from a body made of white plastic it also features some wheels with funky red tyres.  Otherwise you could put them side by side and wouldn't know one was a special.  I'm assuming that perhaps there was a Tamiya white special also, but I've never seen one yet.

  • Body: ABS plastic
  • Chassis: Super XX
  • Motor: Stock 130 with a single shaft which transmits power using a prop shaft to gears on both axles.

Built purely as a box model with no modifications and only using the supplied sticker set.

Storm Cruiser

I've yet to open this one let alone build it, but I'm sure it will be of reasonable quality.
