DIY 2 Lane Home Circuit

So, you live in the UK, you've gone to the effort of locating any buying some mini-4wd cars from either the few UK sites that carry them, or you've imported some from Asia.  But, like most people in the UK you don't have any access to a circuit as the UK Tamiya official distributor doesn't offer these items in the UK.

So what choices do you have? Import seems to be the logical answer, but the problem here is due to the size/weight of the track sets it is astronomically expensive to buy them this way.  Even if you can find a retailer that will ship them to the UK the cost is often several times the cost of the item itself making them a very costly proposition.

The other choice is to find an alternative and myself I had been considering trying to model a set which could be printed on a 3D printer.  I had started this project, then came across this 3D model set that is published on the 'MakerWorld' repository that is run by Bambu Labs.  This is effectively a direct equivalent of the two lane Tamiya 'Home Circuit' and can be printed on pretty much any Bambu Labs printer apart from the A1-Mini which is simply too small to print the individual parts on its limited build plate.  But if you have a 3D printer that has a build plate size of at least 256mm x 256mm which is the standard on a lot of the Bambu Lab printers you should have no issue producing this circuit.  Unfortunately my FlashForge is limited to 220mm x220mm so I can't test these parts to ensure they print correctly.  But, based on all the feedback on the MakerWorld site it appears the models are superb and work perfectly.

Anyway here's a link to the 3D model page for this great offering, go check it out you may be able to use this;
