Plaza Japan as you can probably guess are based in Japan.  But they are a delight to deal with and a reliable retailer.  They stock a good range of Mini-4wd kits and genuine Tamiya Mini-4wd accessories all at very competitive prices.  They also carry a wide array of other Japanese merchandise in all sorts of categories (too many to list here).  They take packaging very seriously and to date I've never had anything arrive with any damage whatsoever.

Shipping of course is more expensive than a UK retailer, but this is compensated for by cheaper product prices on their range of items.  Customs handling is also simplified if your order is for less than £135 in total as they collect the VAT upfront and pay it to the UK treasury directly (it appears on the check out as 'Tax').  This means there is no delay in customs or any nasty surprises in terms of import duties.  If your order is greater than £135 though you are not charged the VAT upfront and will have to go through the normal customs handling/charges process when it arrives in the UK.
