Having found a new (to me) retailer in the UK that stocks and sells Mini-4wd kits I decided to buy a couple to test out the company for their service. So I decided to purchase the Avante Yellow Special and Neo-Vqs models to add to my collection. The Avante Yellow Special comes with a clear polycarbonate body and as you can see a white and yellow chassis (VS) with matching yellow tyres. I doubt I will keep the body clear when I build this, but it is nonetheless an attractive model in any form. The Neo-Vqs is fundamentally the same model that you get in the Neo-Vqs advanced pack but without all the 'hop-up' parts and uprated motor that you get in that kit.
As for the service from SC Models, who are based in Stevenage, this was superb, I ordered the models on Thursday last week, they arrived today, very well packed in a suitably sized box with sufficient padding to ensure they arrived in pristine condition. Price-wise they are competitive for a UK retailer with most models around the £15,99 price as I write this. There is a small £3 odd shipping charge if you go for the Royal Mail option. Regardless, not having to wait weeks or potentially pay import fees (not to mention uncertainty) they are a good option to buying overseas. As I write this their range is not massive and some go out of stock (with an email me option), but is bigger than I've seen at other UK retailers and I suspect if the sales go up this may well increase.
